Monarchs are known for the incredible journeys they take through North America each year. While Monarchs from the eastern population winter in Central Mexico’s volcanic mountain chain, those from the western population winter along California’s coast.

In second grade we had a couple caterpillars and we studied them as they changed into monarchs. After that we released them. It was really cool.

When I was in kindergarten I studied caterpillars until they are a butterfly it is really fun to do☺
At scouts, we did a project to help the monarchs! And it worked! Monarchs visited where we planted flowers! I don’t remember what kind of flowers they were because it was five years ago.
