It’s the perfect time for you to shine up your magnifying glass, put your detective skills to the test, and start your Carbon Footprint Investigation Mission!
But Wait…What’s a Carbon Footprint?
Just a quick recap: your carbon footprint is the amount of carbon dioxide (and other greenhouse gases) you create. It grows and shrinks with the different things you do and buy. Greenhouse gases contribute to climate change, something we want to do our best to stop!
Time to Investigate!
In the Carbon Footprint Investigation Mission, you’ll use your detective skills to find products with the smallest carbon footprints.
Here’s what you’ll look for:
- Products that have minimal packaging or packaging that can be easily recycled.
- Items that are made from recycled materials.
- Things that aren’t shipped from far away.
- Stuff that has been previously loved (or ‘used’).
Don’t forget to take the CFI quiz to see how carbon footprint-friendly you are! You’ll crack the case by learning what you need to do to make your shopping skills even greener.
