How to Copy Ringtones to Your iPhone/iPod/iPad
1. Save the ringtone on to your computer.
2. Drag the ringtone file that you just saved into iTunes.
3. Before you sync your device with iTunes, make sure that Tones are included in your sync.
4. The next time you sync your device, your new tones will be copied over.
How to Change Your Ringtone on Your iPhone/iPod/iPad
1. From the iPhone’s home screen, tap the Settings app.
2. In Settings, tap Sounds in the third group of options.
3. In Sounds, swipe down to the Sounds and Vibration Patterns section. In that section, look for Ringtone. That displays what you have set as your current iPhone ringtone. Tap it to change. This menu shows you the list of all the ringtones available on your iPhone.
4. When you tap on a ringtone, it will play so you can preview it and decide if it’s what you want. When you’ve chosen the ringtone you want to use as your default, make sure it has the checkmark next to it. Then tap the Sounds button in the top left corner or click the Home button to go back to the home screen. Your choice is saved automatically.
5. Now, whenever a call comes in, the ringtone you just selected will play (unless you’ve assigned individual ringtones to callers, that is. If you have, those ringtones will play instead). Just remember to listen for your animal sound, and not a ringing phone, so you don’t miss any calls!
For Android devices:
1. Open the ringtone by pressing the Other Devices option on the ringtone page. This will bring you to a new page with a player. Right click on the player and choose Save Video as and choose the folder that you want to save it in. You will have to remember the folder name so you can find it later.
2. Plug one end of the USB cable into your device and the other into your computer.
TIP: If you connect your device via USB, you will need to mount your phone in order for the connection to work. To do this, open the notifications on your phone, then touch the notification stating that your phone is connected. Choose the option to mount your device.
3. Open the file folder for your device. You can access it opening My Computer, and select the drive your device is connected via. You should see different folders relating to apps on your device and files you’ve added so far.
4. If you can’t see a folder called Ringtones, create a new folder and name it Ringtones.
5. Open the folder on your computer where you saved your new ringtones. It’s usually easier if you have saved the ringtones in a separate folder instead of your computer’s music collection.
6. Drag and drop the ringtone file to the Ringtones folder on your device.
7. Now you’re ready to set your new Ringtone! Tap Settings, then tap Sound, then Phone Ringtone (usually under Incoming Calls)
8. If you don’t see the ringtone you just added, turn off the phone first and it should appear when you turn it on since Android’s service looks out for new files when the phone starts up.
